Theis wide filed photograph of the NGC 2264 complex shows a wealth of nebulous detail and star clusters and nebulae. The Cone Nebula is the little dark notch piercing into the bright patch near the center. NGC 2264 is a bright cluster, well known as the Christmas Tree Cluster; 'decorated' by bright stars with 15-S-Monocerotis marking the trunk and the COne Nebula trimming the top of the tree.
